SPECIAL SHOPPING WEEK
Commencing Next Monday. Make Paeroa Your Shopping Centre. ■ fr Businessmen out to Cater for all Trade Satisfaction Guaranteed.
As the natural roads', railway, and river centre for the Hauraki Plains and Thames Va'ley, Paeroa enjoys the position of being able to cater for the requirements of a very large and productive farming, district , The town is no longer regarded as the centre of a played-out mining district. The farming industry, more lucrative and moire abidingly prosperous, is now occupying the attention of settlers on closely settled land. Paeroa is l not only the natural centre, but also the outlet to the Hauraki Plains and a large part of the Thames Valley. It can therefore be termed the key of the situation. The Paeroa businessmen, recognising their town’s unique position, have determined to make it a centre to which the settlers in the vast and wondepjfnliy fertile district, will be attracted —to make it the magnet which draws. They are not satisfied with the tpwn being merely the key; they wish it also to be the magnet to which all and sundry will be drawn. They are out to cater for all trade, guaranteeing satisfaction. To this end a special Christmas shopping week has been arranged, commencing on Monday. The shops are making special displays, and are particularly well stocked with a large range of articles. The fact that all roads’ lead to Paeroa make it the centre—a centre which, will be more important as the district arpund it grows. The town is already the key and the outlet, and, by making it a magnet also, the tirade must be drawn towards it. The roads converge from all parts of the Thames Valley, Waikato, and the Hauraki Plains, and from Waihi and Tauranga. Some idea of the boundless agricultural we.alth of the district round Paeroa may be obtained from the estimate that the most productive areas On the Hauiraki Plains will, belong, be cut up into 50-acre farms. The Agricultural, Department declares that the land can be cropped for 43 years without requiring replenishment by way of artificial fertilisers. With these prospects the future of Paeroa seems particularly rosy. Without exaggeration it can be said that no other town is likely to make such; great progress during the next few years as Paeroa will. The business’ men realise this, and; are making efforts to help the town to grow. By keeping their business premises well stocked with all necessities, comforts, and luxuries, and making every effort to please their present, and prospective customers, will be a big factor in the growth; of the town. The Paeroa business men a|re out to give an efficient service, catering for all classes of trade, and in order to make a special display of their wares' have organised the Christmas shopping week, which commences on Mond.ay. .Study the description of the Paeroa businesses given elsewhere in this issue and make Paeroa your ■shopping centre.
