A PRIZE BULL.
A WONDERFUL RECORD. AT THE PAEROA SHOW. One of the features at the Hauraki A. and P. Association’s show this week was the exhibit by the Piri Land Company of a pedigree Friesian bull, Bainfield Netherland King Pontiac,, by Rosibali King Sylvia—Westfield Netherland Princess. The judge considered it to be the best of its class in New Zealand; in fact, it has' never' yet been beaten- in the show ring. It was bofr'.n on August 27, 1921, and bred by Mr W. D. Hunt, of Invercargill, and .when six months old was sold.at auction for 510. guineas. This bull carries the blood of the greatest Amqvican ' animals which .appears twice in his 1 pedigree. In addition his darn, a young cow now in her first semi-official test, in 111 days supplied 94771 b milk and 3281 b butter-fat His sire’s dam, Burkife Silvia Posch, and dam’s dam, averaged 25,2121 b milk and 961.491 b butterj-fat. His dam’s full sister has a record of 20,8431 b milk and 831.11 b butter-fat.
