f ' ANNUAL PRIZE-GIVING. On Monday evening the Parish Haji was<well filled, the occasion being the - * distribution of prizes won by the scholars of the Sunday School during the .year. An Aen joyable Imusical programme was submitted by the children, and many of the items rendered received well merited encores., Those contributing to the harmony bf the evening wereW. Parry, V. Capill, Dorothy Towers, Joy Bflyth, Mettam, . Arthur Flatt, Irene Bartlett, Edna Moore, Doris Rowe, Adria Nicholas, Anna Helling, Edna Hayward, Neil ’Campbel 1,-and N. Sileock. ; Before presenting the prizes! the I vicar, Rev. F. B. Dobson, gave a brief resume of the work during the year. The school roll number had incre.as- ■ ed, but teachers and assistants were badly .required to carry on the .work. Grateful thanks were due to Mrs A. J. 1 Thorp for her valuable work as super- • intendept, and also to the other teachers (for the help given. The prizes were then distributed as under: / ■Boys’ Bible Class.—First, Arthur Faltt; second, .Fred Hayward ; third, Jack Eaddy; fourth, Le'n Carrick.’ Second Class.—First, Victor Capill; second, Roy Capill; third, Norman Campbell. Second Class B.—First, W. Parry; seccyid, Phillip Barclay; third, Neil Campbell. i Girls’ Bible Class—First, Eva White, and special prize presented by , Mrs Flatt; second, dlive Dobson; third, Edna Hayward ; fourth, Molly Walls. Girls’ Class ll—First, Irene Bartlett; second," Anna Helling; third, Joy Blyth ; fourth, Marjorie Slay. Girls’ Class lll.—First, Muriel Met.tam; second, Mona White; third, Kathleen Waines; fourth, Laurel Hamilton. Giris’ Bible Class, written work: ’ Mrs Dobson*?"special prize was won ' by Joy Dobson, with Nita Helling second.' Kindergarten Girls.—First, Coralic , Hale; second, Alison Bardlay and -s Barbara Barclay; third, Kathleen' Blakeway.
