SUPPORT FROM THAMES. “PUSH BAST COAST LINE.” Support for the Paeroa-Ppkeno Railway was given at' Wednesday's meeting of the Thames County Council, which received a communication from the Auckland Railways Development League asking for the Council’s' co-operation in endeavouring to get the £5OOO voted for the PaerpaPokeno section spent before the vote lapsed at the end of March next. The chairman urged that the Council should give all the Support it could to every line of communication regardless of whether it would benefit or be detrimental to any one particular district. Lines of communication were for the benefit of the whole country, and that was what they should consider. Everything should be done to pus'll ahead the East Coast line. On the chairman's motion the Council decided to give the league s request its support.
