MINING.
THE RISING SUN. The mine manager reports for the week ending November 25 as follows : Re compressor, the reinforced concrete foundation has teen finished. I have strengthened up the roof trusses, and fixed beams to rig the tackle to take the heavy lifts. Holding-down bolts have been fixed, and cross supporting beams have been put in. The bed plate has been set in position, and a start has been made to assemble the machine in position. Considering the numbe,r of men on the job good progress has been made. MUIR’S GOLD REEFS, LTD. The manager of Muir’s Gold Reefs, Ltd, reports as follows: During the month ended October 31, 1922, 2860 tons of orc were crushed and treated for a yield of 1921 ounces fine gold and 913 ounces fine silver.
