HAMILTON STOCK SALE. Tire Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co. reports:— At Hamilton on Tuesday, November 28, we had a good yarding of cattle and pigs l , with sheep in moderate supply. Competition for beef was dull and values declined, a fair proportion of the entry being passed in. Fat cows realised from £3 15s to £4 19->, light-Xeights from £2 15s to £3 10s. A line of forward bullocks failed to reach owner’s reserve and was also passed in. Store bullocks in low condition and off colour made from £3 10s to £4 ss, under fair competition. Fresh conditioned cows’ were not in keen demand, those sold making from £2 5s to £2 12s 6d; store cows from £1 3s to £1 Ils. A few lots of small twoyear steers sold from £2 10s to £2 15s. Good yearling Shorthorn heifers reached £3 Os, smaller lots from £2 to £2 5s ; Jersey cross heifers, medium quality, £4 15s. Competition for •sheep was again good, although fats seemed a little lower in value. Shorn wethers made from 27s to 28s, shorn ewes 24s 6d. There were 387 pigs penned, and prices eased considerably to th&se reported last week. Heavy bacohers £2 15s to £2 18s’, medium £2 10s to £2 14s ; good po’kers to light baconers £2 3s to £2 Bs, medium porkers 34s to 38s, small and unfinished 22s to 31s ; slips 14te to 21s, inferior 9s to 12s ; best weaners 13s, ■small 7s to" 10s. For good dairy stock there was keen competition, best heifers making. up to £lo' 15s. The advertised herd of cows sold from £lO to £l4 10s. ’
