VETERINARY CLUBS.

WESTERN HAURAKI PLAINS; MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The committee of the Farmers’ Veterinary Club, which operates on the western portion of the Hauraki Plains, met at Ngatea on Saturday, tiho following attending: Messrs CW. Parfitt (chairman), L. Rowntree, G. T. Davidson, W. Wallace, J. H. Hewitt, F. Wallis, and the secretary (Mr H. Death). Mr L. Rountree reported on the advisability of connecting ' the veterinarian’s house with the telephone. It was decided to take steps to have tilie connections made. Mr H. Dent was appointed treasurer as well as secretary to the club. The secretary reported that the club’s credit was £5O. 'A sum of £4O was owing to the club for medicine, etc. Mr Parfitt was authorised to approach the manager of the bank of N.Z-, Thames, and make finaiseial arrangements. It was stated that quite a number of members were in arrears with their fees and the secretary was instructed to endeavour to recover these amounts so that the club could be placed on a sound financial basis. It was decided that the committee should meet every month. HAURAKI PLAINS CLUB. The Hauraki Plains Veterinary Club has been in existence just one year and the annual meeting is to be held at. Turua next week.
