It would be difficult to find an.-illus-trated journal that can equal the “N.Z. Sporting and Dramatic Review” in point of merit and variety. Thio week’s issue is of exceptional interest, and will commend itself widely to all sections of the community. Snapshots 'of the Otaliuhu Trotting Cub’s meeting give ap indication of the popularity of that fixture, and a series of photographs depicting the Bell Farm, Avondale, makes an interesting local feature. The Auckland Amateur Operatic Society’s production of "Our Miss Gibbs'” is the subject of special attention, some striking portraits having been secured, covering three full pages. The overseas portion is particularly inviting. A page of fashions from famous Parisian creations will be specially alluring to womenfolk, and bathing scenes at Biarritz with attractivelygarbed damsels will absorb the close attention of everyone, Historic value attaches to a double-page depicting French Army manoeuvres in Brittany, with Marshalls Focli and Petain actively engaged.
