Her spirit is chastened and she finally comes to realise that she is a redrblpoded woman, glorying in the love of a. toO per cent. man. “THE LEATHER PUSHERS.” No character, in modern fiction came to public attention under more peculiar and fascinating circumstances than Kajie Halliday, the hero cf “ The Leather Pushers,” by H. G. Witwer, which will also be screened this evening. Witwer’s character, a famous college athlete, seeks fortune as “ Kid ’’ Roberts, .heavyweight pugilist. Halliday is the son of a wealthy Wall Street "power” who loses»his entire fortune. The son immediately takes up the thing for which he is best qualified, and by which he can make big money quickly. Under the wing of Joe Murphy, manager ,he begins a campaign which ultimately results in his winning the world’s championship.
