RISING SUN COMPANY. RESUMPTION OF MINING OPERATIONS. The recent reconstructed Rising Sun Gold Mining Company, Limited, at Owharoa is again in vigorous operation. Mr McLaren, the manage”, has completed the clearing aiid retimbering of the’ levels necessary through several rather severe falls in the bottom level that took place dining the non-working period of reconstruction. The Government has granted a thousand pound for pound subsidy towards the further prospecting, and this with the subscribed capital should soon see the “Sun’’ again crushing periodically. A new air compressor is to be immediately installed, when pumping will be resumed, the low level, proceeded with, and driving for the rich v.alues proved under the winze. T h e newly-appoint-ed manager is contemplating as soon as circumstances permit breaking out orc from the No. 3 reef tor cnus-hijig. The battery meantime is to be overhauled and sweetened in readiness for crushing operations.
