CRICKET.

OPENING OF SEASON. The inclement weather on Saturday spoilt the opening of the Cricket Club to a large entent, and the trial match arranged had to be postponed until Saturday next, 14th inst. Notwithstanding the rain upwards of twenty turned up however, and quite a good practice was indulged in. Apart, from the last year’s players, several new members showed promising form, and it is hoped that this, year’s representative eleven will be as good as that Of last year. Tp obtain this result members must practice constantly. The net is expected this week. All members and intending members are invited to take part in the trial match next Saturday at 1.45 p.m.
