COMMERCIAL ACCOUNTS.
CASH DISCOUNT DAY. At its last meeting the Paeroa Chamber of Commerce passed a resolution suggesting that the Auckland wholesale firms should alter, tlie cash discount day from the 20th of the month to the 25th of the month. The resolution was sent on to the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, apd it was decided by that body to refer the matter to the Wholesale, Merchants’ Association, and also to bring it before the Dominion conference of that body to see if some uniform system can be adopted to suit all parties concerned/ A suggestion was made that the dffiry companies could help to meet the situation by making their pay-out earlier than the 21st of. th§ month. It was decided to refer the matter to their notice.
