Paeroa defeated Morrinsville on Saturday by 11 games to 4. The following is the result of the men’s matches: Miller lost to McIsaacs, 4 and 3 *, Hanna beat Ryan, 6 and 5 ; Moresby beat Clifford, 4’ and 3; Steedman beat Mueller, 2 and 1; Dales beat Petit, 4 and 3; Towers beat Jackson, 2 and 1; Gorrie lost to Morpeth, 4 and 3; Somervell beat Jerram, 1 up; Kenpy lost to Chadwick, 3 and 2. Competitions for Saturday: W. D. Nicholas’ trophy, for first year players and limit handicap players, 18 holes medal play. Players not taking part in the above competition will play a four-ball best-ball bogey handicap competition. players tp choose own partners and opponents. Entrance fee 2s per player. LADIES. The final of the Junior Championship was played over 27 holes during the week-end between Mrs Bpin and Miss D. Poland and was won by Mrs Bain, 4 up apd 2 to play. The following players will represent Goldfields against Hamilton at Hamilton to-morrow: Mrs; Hunger, Mrs Bliss, Mrs Hawkins, Mrs McGlashan, Mrs James (Te Aroha) ’, Mrs Bell, Mrs Malyon, Mrs Gibson, Mrs Wilson. Mrs Patterson, Mrs Morgan (Waihi); Miss F. Walmsley, Miss Bain, Mrs Silcock, Mrs Gorrie (Paeroa). The local players will leave oy the 6.40 a.m. train. On Saturday next Mrs Budd’s trophy will be played for, 18 holes medal play. L.G.U. handicaps only. Players to arrange own partners.
