FUNDS FOR SITE; PURCHASEi MEETING AT KEREPEEHI. About 20 Kerepeehi settlers gathered in the local hall on Friday evening to discuss the prospects pf inaugurating a bazaar fori the purpose of raising funds for the purchase of a hospital site. Miss L. R. Evahs, convener, explained that the meeting had been called to consider a proposal which recently had been put forward to ’hold a bazaar. She called for nominations for the position of chairman, and ultimately Mr J. M. Thompson was elected. The meeting was only a short one. Mr J. M. Devereaux said he was not in favour of the proposal and that it was a very inopportune time tp hold a bazaar, He’moved that no bazaar be held at the present time.
