COUNTY BOUNDARIES.

TAHUNA RIDING’S POSITION. SETTLERS DESIRE CHANGE. It is understood that the settlers in the Tahuna riding desire to secede from the Hauraki Plains County Council and join the Piako County, and to this end a number of leading men in that riding have been working. This will be a matter for consideration at the next Hauraki Plains County Council meeting, when a de putation from Tahuna will wait upon the council. Messrs Jensen. Speedy, and Hedly will appear on behalf) of the Tahuna settlers. It is asserted that the southern riding has no community of interest with the other , portions, and should be included the Piako County.
