It is a disgrace that the approach roads to .the Wharepoa ferry should, be allowed to get into such a terrible condition. Since the wet weather the approaches on either si.de oi the ferry have broken up dreadfully, and it will soon be the height of, impossibility to get a moton-.car through. On the Thames side late Thursday afternoon the Ngatea mail car was stuck in a bad hole for some considerable time. The service was consequently delayed nearly an hour.

A large tree trunk fouling with, tne ropes and barge at the Wharepoa ferry was the cause of delaying the service car for an hour and a half on its trip to Ngatea early on Friday morning. The car appeared on the Thames side and its occupants found the ferryman on the other side busily engaged in endeavouring to get his barge free from the obstruction. The ’occupants of the car were powerless to give any assistance, and had rather a. prolonged and cold, cheerless wait. For Influenza, take Woods' Great Peppermint Cure.
