HAMILTON STOCK SALR The Farmery’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., reports :— At Hamilton on Tuesday, August 15, we held our weekly stock sale. There was a small yarding of sheen and cattle, and a good entry bf both fat and store pigs. Values showed a little alteration from recent sales, the improvement in beef being maintained, store pigs also selling freely. Although a consignment by rail of nice quality ox beef failed to reach the owner’s reserve at the opening of the sale, they were later disposed bfj at. £7 17s. 6d to £8 10s. Heavy prime fat cows made to £6 Is, .small, but good quality 3%-year store steel’s £4 2s 6d ; store cows £1 to £2. A pen of extra well done yearling Shorthor.i heifers made £4, other yearling heifers £2 7s to £3. Killable hoggets 21sPigs: Light baconers to £3 Is, good porkers to light baconers £2 10s to £2 17s; medium porkers £2 2s to £2 Bs. light and unfinished 26s to 39s ; slips 22s to 27s ; weanerg 15s 6d .to £1; sow and young £5 7s 6d. Fresh dropped calves 3s ; dairy cows and
,heifers, best, £6 to £8 10s, others from £3.
