DAIRY COMPANY’S BALL.
A SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION! The Central Theatre was very well patronised last evening, when the Dairy Company’s second ball (organised by the employees of the company) was held. The hall was tastefully decorated for the occasion, and showed that much time had been spent in the task of decorating. The floor was in fairly good dancing order, but with the excellent dance music supplied by Miss Farrell’s jazz band from Morrinsville left little to be desired. The euchre tournament was conducted in the Soldiers’ Hall, and was won by Mrs J. Martin and Mr Smith. A dainty supper was served in the supper rooms. Extras were played by Miss Overall, Miss Houlihan, and Mr Alley, and the duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr Neilsen. The ball was a decided success, and credit is due to the committee (with Miss Overall as secretary) for their efforts in bringing the function to such a successful issue.
