GOLF.

The Te Arolia team visited Paeroa on Saturday last and easily defeated the local teani. Byrne and Kenny were the only winners in the Paeroa team, and Moresby all square.

Next Saturday the men will play the second round of the President’s trophy, 18 holes, bogey play.

The men’s Senior Championship has now narrowed down to three playezs, Colbeck, Dales, and Moresby. Colbeck defeated Miller last week on the 18th green. This match produced some very fine golf. The DalesMoresby match, the winner of which will meet Colbeck in the final, should be a keen contest, as both these players are at present playing excellent golf. The greens, which are in first-class playing order, are now showing the beneficial effect ofl the top-dressing put on last riionth. LADIES. On Thursday, August 17, the Hamilton ladies will play the Goldfields ladies on the Paeroa links. Play will commence as soon after eleven as possible. The Goldfields team will be chosen from the following: Mrs Arthur, Mrs Halligan, Mrs Hunger, Mrs Bliss (To Aroha), Mrs Bush, Miss Price, Mrs Baker, Miss Poulgrain (Thames), Mrs Clark, Mrs Gibson, Mrs Mallian, Mis Wilson (Waihi), Miss F. Walmsi ley, Miss Bain, Miss Thorp, Mrs Silcock (Paeroa). The following is the draw for both grades of the championships, the first round of 18 holes to be played by August 28.: Seniors. —Mrs Miller v. Mrs Hunger, Miss Bain v. Mrs Budd, Miss L.
