In the proposed appointments of headmasters appears the name of Mr. A. S. Pendergrast for Tirohia school.
Mr. Walter Searle, advance agent for “The Snapshots of 1922,” was in Paeroa on Wednesday last, making arrangements for that company’s appearance on Thursday next.
On Wednesday last the Ladies’ Guild and P.W.M.U. of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church held a “farewell tea” in honour of their president, Mrs. McDonald, wjho is about to leave the district. A presentation was made to the guest of the afternoon as a token of the appreciation and esteem in which she is held by the member.?:. Dainty afternoon tea was served by the ladies and a competition helped to fill in the remaining part, pf a very pleasant afternoon.
