TURUA SETTLERS.
NEW BODY FORMED, RATEPAYERS:’ ASSOCIATION. At a large and representative gathering ofl Turua settlers at Turua on Wednesday, Mr, D. G. McMillan being in the chair, it was decided to form a ratepayers’ association. Mr. McMillan was elected president and Mr. J. Newman secretary. The following committee was elected: Messrs. A. H. Rogers, J. Schmidt, S. Murray, W. Madgwick, Beck, R. G. Miller, A. P. Gardiner, and P. R. Henry.
