PERSONAL.

We regret to record the death of Mr. F. P. J. Dignan, which took place at Auckland on Saturday last. Deceased, who was 41 years of age, left Paeroa in the early stages of the war, and received injuries from which he never recovered. He leaves a widow (who was Miss Una Chamberlain, formerly of Paerba), to whom much sympathy is extended in her sad affliction.
