PLAINS COUNTY COUNCIL.

SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING. The Hauraki Plains County Council’s sub committee, deputed to consider the housing question, met in the office of the clerk (M!r. E. WaHor.) at Ngatea on Monday. There were present Crs. J. C. Miller (chairman), W. G. Hayward, C. W. Hi'rris, and the engineer (Mr. Higgins). It was resolved to employ the services, of Mr E. E. Gillman, o p . Paeroa, as architect for the engineer’s house, the engineer toeing instructed to direct Mr. Gillman to prepare plans and specifications for submission ti Uhe sub-committee. The engineer was also instructed to go into the question of the removal of a surfaceman’s cottage from Waihi to Waitakaruru.
