ATHLETIC CLUB.
LAST NIGHT’S MEETING. A well attended meeting of the above association was held in the Druids’ Hall last evening. Mr. Russell’s motion, “Tlhat. the senior subscription be 10s and entrance fee of similar amount, and that this cover a period of one year,” was carried. Messrs. Marks and Bridges then instructed a number of members, and also gave a demonstration' of the “noble art,” showing the scientific side of the sport,. It was decided that until all gear has arrived the gymnasium shall remain closed. Due notice will be given as to hall and opening night. A large portion of subscriptions and entrance fees were received and a considerable number of members enrolled!. After a very enjoyable evening the meeting was dismissed with everyone contented, and it is the firm belief that the Association will become a stupendous success.
