In a local book store recently (says the Levin Chronicle) two gentlemen were discussing “Things you wouldn’t believe,” when a lady came in to inquire about a book she had seen in the window three weeks previously. She knew neither the name of the bptok nor the author, but after a minute description of a picture that adorned the cover the bookseller was able to identify and produce the volume asked for. "Oil, thank you so much,” said the lady, “I’ll take a note of it. I want to get it from the library !”
