On Saturday the club played the monthly medal competition. H. Budd, 88—14—74, won the men’s ineda)’, and Mrs. Bain, 129—36—93, the ladies’ medal. The following cards were returned : Mrs. Silcock, 137 —35—102 ; Miss E. Walmsley, 148—31—107 : Miss L. Thorp, 130—29—101 ; Mrs. Budd, 144—28—106 ; Miss Bain, 126— 35—91 ; Mrs. Bain, 127—36—91 ; Mrs. Peacock, 141—40—101; Miss I. Taylor, 142—40—102; Mrs. Lawrence, 168 —40—128. The play-off between Mrs. Bain and Miss Bain resulted in a win for Mrs. Bain, with a net score of 93. The men’s Club Handicap is being held up by players in the first round not playing off. Next Saturday the men will play the first round of the President’s Trophy,-18 holes, medal ilay; winner 3 points, second 2 points, third 1 point.
