CHEQUES VALUED AT £BOl
AN- ARREST AT TURUA.
Alex Gimpsey, of Whangarei, was arrested at Turua at 4.45 p.m. on Wednesday by Constable J. M. Devereaux for an alleged theft of cheques to the value of £BO.. The theft was alleged to have been committed at Turua last. December. Accused, appeared before Mr. J. H. Salmon, S-M, at Thames yesterday, and was charged with the offence. Accused-was're-manded for seven days.
