THE NGATEA HALL.
COMMITTEE MEETING. A meeting of the Ngatea Hall Committee was held on Wednesday evening, the following attending: Messrs G. T. Davidson (chairman), W. G. Hayward, S. Phillips, D. A. Vincent, W. J Clare, R. B. Jamieson, and C. G. Mellor (secretary). It was reported that suggestions ' had been made to run a confectionery [ stall in the hall.’ While it was considered that it would be desirable to have a stall at the hall, the committee thought it would not be convenient to have the stall inside the hall, and if one was erected it would require to be built outside. The possibilities of making an extension of a supper room were briefly discussed. A proposal was put i forward that the supper room be un- ' derneath the stage, and ha’ve a coni Crete floor and concrete walls to keep the surface water out It was point- ' ed out, however, that this proposition would be more costly than making an addition to the side of the building. Tt was thought desirable to hold another concert at some fjuture date, the proceeds to be devoted to the hall lunds. Mr Mellor promised that lie would make inquiries regarding the possibility of obtaining some Auckland talent.
