PATETONGA. GAME PLENTIFUL. Sportsmen are finding that game is plentiful in the Patetonga district. Most of the ducks shot round the river areas have fallep to the guns Qf Thames sportsmen. The local men appear to be concerned mostly with pheasants, and some fairly good bags have been reported. HALL MEAT SALES. The Patetonga Hall Committee has found that the butchery which they, recently instituted in an endeavour to augment the hall funds has been a good source of revenue. The operations of the butchery are soon to cease, and it is estimated that about £lOO will be the gross proceeds. PIPIROA. CREAM CARTAGE About 20 settlers affected by the cream carting from Pipiroa to the Ngatea. factory met in the Pipiroa Hall on Tuesday to discuss the letting of. a new contract. Mr J. Clark was chairman. It was decided to call alternate tenders for the next year's carting, one proposed route to be from Marshall's gate or Knox's gate, Pipiroa, to the Pipiroa wharf, via Molhau Street, then on to Ngatea, and as an alternative from the Pipiroa wharf to Ngatea. Further discussion was deferred to another meeting, which will be held'when the tenders are returned.
