PAEROA GOLF CLUB.

RULES AMENDED. NEW EXECUTIVE ELECTED. A special general meeting ofl the Paeroa Golf Club was held in <(he Returned Soldiers’ Club, Paeroa, on Friday evening last, Mr A. White president, presiding ovw an attendance of' about 40 members. A resolution was passed on the motion p* the president, seconded by Mr Bishop, that the rules of the club be altered to make provision for the election of the executive committee (exclusive of the president, vice-pre-sident, and secretary) by the male members of the club only, and to provide for the election of a ladies’ committee, as a separate committee (not a sub committee), by the lady members of the club only.

It was decide’d that the resolution come into force forthwith. RESIGNATION OF PRESIDENT., Mr A. White handed in his resignation from the office of president, owing to his early departure from Paeroa.

A hearty vote bf; thanks was passed to .Mr A. White by acclamation for his untiring ■ efforts in all matters connected with? the welfare of the golf club; the club also joined in wishing Mr and Mrs White and Master Jack White every success and happiness in the future. Mr White suitably replied, and regretted exceedingly that his early de.parture from the district necessitated his resigning. OFFICERS.

The election of the officers was then proceeded with, and the following were elected: President,, Mr AGorrie; Vice president, Mr F. SBudd ; Secretary, Mr I. Towers. At a subsequent meeting olf the men the following committee was elected : Messrs W. D. Nicholas,_A. Steedman, C. Kenny, C. N. O’Neill, W. J. Byrne ; also, at a meeting of the ladies the following were elected : Mrs Gorjrie (captain), Mrs F. S. Budd (secretary) ; Committee: Mesdames Peacock, Edwards, and Silcock, and Misses Sutton and Walmsley. TOURNAMENTS.

It was decided to leave the matter of the arrangements of the tournaments in the hands of the committee;

At a meeting of the executive rf the chib it was decided to hold r. working bee on the links on Saturday next—work to begin at P;msharp.

On. Saturday, 13th inst., the club will commence its 1922 fixtures with the Hanna Shields competition.
