After three months of exceptionally wet weather the Hauraki Plains, has been favoured with a month of very little rain. At the Lands Department’s office at Kerepeehi 1.73 in was gauged, and the Heaviest fall for anv one day was .50, registered on the 15th. Rain fell on only eight days, there being 22 without rain. So far this year the total rainfall is 18.72, The following are the figures for the four months : January, 4’.88 ; February, 6.62; March, 5.49 ; April, 1.73.
