NGATEA STOCK SALE.
At the Loan and Mercantile Agency Company’s stock sale at Ngatea on Friday there was a good yardj ing, but bidding was slow. Thete. wa§, however, better inquiry than was experienced a month ago, but prices were still low. The market for store cows appeared to be dull, but there was fair demand for, springers.
The following prices were realised : Dairy cows £5 to £7; dairy heifers, £4 to £5 5s ; beef cows, up to £3 IQs ; beef steers; £3 IBs to £5 17s 6d ; store cows. 15s to 30s;. store steers. £2 to £2 14 s.
