MAGAZINES REVIEWED.

FICTION AND ADVENTURE.

We have to acknowledge the receipt of current magazines for review in the “Gazette.”

Ku Klux Klan takes pride of place in the current number of the “Wind- 1 sor,” .and although the writer is unable to enlighten one as to the real secret of this mysterious, society, the information given is highly interesting. “A Chinese Adventure,” by Baron de Balabre, is a good, short story, while the narrative of a “Film Hunter on the Amazon” is highly interesting. Enthralling stories of adventure in Africa ,and India are contained in w'hat is a very good issue.

Very instructive is the first article in “My Magazine,” dealing with astronomical wonders, and finely illustrated. Historical and archaeologies] articles of prime interest are profusely illustrated. To the lover of Nature the excellent plates of bird life will appeal, as will also those of marine creatures.

The “Red” magazine, .led off this month by the popular Ethel M. Dell, is full o'f first-class fiction—the ideal bonk for idle hours. Fifteen well-told stories comprise the current number of the “Yellow Magazine,” the “Knightly Adventures of Sii - Archibald.” and “The 1 Idol,” being, decidedly diverting tales ip a singularly good ’collection. Among the authors are Elaine Hamilton, Anthony Carlyle, A. M. Burrage, and other welLknown writers.

The “Girl in the Forest!” by Victor MacChrre, and “The Beautiful Merciless Lady-,” by S. Aumonier, are two excellently tpld tales of fiction in the “London” magazine.

The “Grand,” the “Premier,” the “Novel,” and “Cassell’f” have also come ’to hand, and are brimful of good things, but time and. newspaper spactj preclude review in this issue.
