PUBLIC WORKS MINISTER

PAEROA AND PLAINS VISIT. APRIL 26 AND 27. REQUIRED ATTENTIONS PROMISED. His- Worship the Mayor of Paeroa (Mr P E. Brcnan) has received the following wire from the Minister, ci Public Works (Hon. J. G. Coates)': "Will be leaving Tauranga on Tuesday, 25th inst., for Paeroa, via Katikati. "On Wednesday and .Thursday 1 , 26th‘ and 27th inst., I will be visiting tire Plains in the districts. I .will, be leaving for Hamilton .oh Thursday afternoon, and will be pleased to attend to any matters requiring my attention.” From the reading of the telegram it seems as though the Minister intends to visit not the whole of the Hauraki Plains, but only that portion in the vicinity of Paeroa, and which is directly affected by the River Improvement Scheme.' The Minister will probably arrive in Pae'■oa on Tuesday evening, 25th April.
