ON HAURAKI PLAINS. THE MINISTERIAL PROMISE.OF GOVERNMENT PAEROA R:S.A. StIPPORII During the course of the annual meeting of the Paeroa Returned Soldiers Association on Wednesday night it was proposed by Mr T. E. McMillan, and seconded-by Major E. Edwards, “That this Association notes with approval the "assurance given by the Minister of Lands (Hon. D. H. Guthrie) that soldier settlers on the Hauraki Plains who have become financially embarrassedduring the recent depression will receive every consideration from the Government, and that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Minister.”-— Carried unanimously.
