TURUA TOWN BOARD.
FIRST ELECTION YESTERDAY. RESULTS OF THE The election for .the first Board for Turua took place, yesterday, Messrs Miller and Son’s office being used as the polling booth, at whjch Mr J. K Green was returning officer. The voting was particularly heavy, only about half a dozen of'the 162 electors failing to vote. There were 10 candidates, of. which seven are required for the Board. ; Mr C. Scott has the honour of heading the list 97 votes. The followihg 'are the results of the polling: /' \ ? SUCCESSFUL. C.
