Seldom has -such a fortunate combination of great act; ress, author,, and director been effected Elinor Glyn, the world-famed authoress, worked with the’ director throughout; and she personally supervised every detail. One of ths most popular leading men, Milton Sills, plays opposite Gloria Swanson. THE FA9SOUB. N.Z. DIGGERS. TO-MORROW NIGHT. The Famous Diggers have been so long entertaining the public of New Zealand that, they hayg become part of our national life. They .are certainly very popular, and although i sentiment played a big part in tjhis in the\ beginning, they now stand entirely on their merits as entertainers. That they are able to do this as weh as any show travelling is evidenced by the fact that tlh'ey are greeted by large audiences everywhere they go. In fact, in the South Island recently, they broke all records for attendance, and at Invercargill letters appeared in the papers protesting that the Diggers should have played' more than two nights in the town to enable all intending patrons to see the show., Oainaru, Timaru, Greymouth, Hokitika, West-, port, Nelspn, .and Blenheim all had the same story tfo fell—not enough accommodation in the theatres for all those who desired to see the programme. The fact is that, the, Diggers give a performance which is. at all time meritorious, never mediocre, and always a hundred per cent, entertainment. The orchestra, strong find musical as ever, both in orchestral selections and song and dance ac--companimentsi, maintain that standard of’musical efficiency 'that'has always brought them into prominence as an indispensible adjunct fe a bright and breezy ‘entertainment. The box plan is at Flatt’s.
