WORSE THAN WINTER.

A WET THREE MONTHS. During the last three months moge rain has fallen on the Hauraki Plains (with one exception): than during any other period in the last 10 years. In October, November, and December of 1916, 17.5 inches fell, a record for any three months.. During the first three months of this year 16.99 inches has been recorded. In January this year- 4.88 inches fell, in February 6.62 inches, and in Marcn 5.49 inches. From March 16 till the end of the month there were only two days on which rain did not fall.
