ANNUAL CLUB MEETINGS. WEST CLUB. ( lhe annual meeting of the West Football Club was held in the Fire Brigade Shed pn Friday evening, when there was a good muster of members, 1 Mr J. Walmsley presiding. The report and. balance-sheet were adopted, the/latter showing a credit balance of £1 Is. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year,: Patron, Mr R._ W. Evans ; president, Mr J. W. Sflcock; vice presidents, thoce of last year re-elected ; secre-. tary and treasurer, Mr J. Coburn; committee, Messrs J. Walmsley, R. Chamberlain, J. /RoachJ, W. Taylor, Hamilton, V. . Sherson, J. Pretty, ft Wells. The chairman moved that Mr A. Bush’s services to the club be placed on record, and that he be made a life-member of the club. Mr /Chamberlain seconded-, and the motion was carried unanimously, and with acclamation. - The subscriptions were fixed at the same amount as last year,, seniors an] juniors ss, third grade 2s 6d. The delegales to the annual meeting of the Paeroa Rugby Union meeting on Apri'l 10 were elected as follows: Messrs J. Walmsley, R. Chamberlain, W. Taylor, V. Sherson, J. Coburn, Hamilton. Two medals' have already been pre l sented to the club for competition, one by Mrs J. Rroach, fpr the best senior forward, and the other by Mrs A. Bush, the allocation of which has been left to the committee to decide.. A ’■ecommendation was.- made to the committee that the medal donated bj - Mrs Bush be presented to the most, imj roved player, irrespective of grade. z . EAST CLUB. The East Football Club held its annual meeting on Saturday night, when there was a fair attendance of members and supporters. Mr F. G. Otter presided. ; - The report ,and balance'-sheet were adepted, the club having the sum of Is to start the season with.: In discussing the i balance-sheet, the chairman drew attention to the fact that quite a number of members had not yet ; paid, their last year’, subscriptions. The juniors were more conscientious in this matter than the seniors, of whom only about six were financial. Continuing, he, said that not only was' it hot fair to the secretary, who was put to a lot of unneeessarjr trouble and inconvenience when members were backward in paying their subscriptions, but it showed a lack of sportsmanship, and w r as also detrimental to the club. He asked members to work more harmoniously together for the benefit of the club, and to help the secretary by paying their ' subscriptions whcn 4 they should Ve paid—before ’ play commenced. : ■ Mr James Treanor moved, and Mr M. Pannell seconded, that caps not ye,t handed to the unfinancial members of the East Club winning teams in the competitions last year be held by the secretary until such time as the arrears are paid.—Carried. The officers for -this year weie elected as follows: Patron, Mr J. Brenan; prefcident, Mr T. P. Vuglar; vice-presidents, Messrs W. J. Edlisi, Shand, Garry, D. Leach. G. P. de Castro, W. Sorensen', J. .1. Goonan, D. McWatters, G. S. Talboy.% G. Fallon, W. Bain, and J. Pinder ; committee, Messrs Garry, R. J. Bramley, John Treanor, B. Neil, A. Williams; selectors, Messrs F. G. Otter (seniors), John Treanor (juniors), and R. J. Bramley (thirdgrade) ; secretary and treasurer. Mr J. I. Ellis. It was decided to keep to the same colours as in previous years, namely, amber and black. The selection of delegates to the annual meeting of the Paeroa Rubgy Union, which is to be held on April 10, was left to be decided at a meet? ing to be held on Saturday next. It was decided' to raise the subscriptions this year to 5s for seniors and juniors, and 2s 6d for thii'dgrade. KOMATA CLUBt A meeting is called in 'the Soldiers’ Club om Friday evening of all those interested in forming a Komata Football Club.
