The British Medical Journal of December 3 contains an interesting article by Dr. Moore>, Medical Officer of Health, Huddersfield, on a simple apparatus whereby a family may pasteurise its own milk supply. Dr. Moore gives diagrams and states that they are free for anyope to copy. The apparatus consists of a small tin bucket with lid and bracket inside. On the bracket rests a frame holding the capped bottles full &f milk. The bucket is filled with boiling water up to the brackets ; then the frame with the capped bottles is dipped into the boiling water, and left there for 25 minutes, when all injurious organisms are killed or rendered harmless.
