KEREPEEHI SPORTS.

MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. The Kerepeehi Sport Association at a meeting held on Thursday made further arrangements for its annual sports gathering whiph is ,l o be held on Easter Monday. In the absence of the president, Mr A- Chatfield, who is seriously ill, Mr J. H. Nicholson was elected to the chair. Mr Nicholson regretted Mr Chatfield’s illness, but he had beep reported to be a little brighter that day, and it was hoped that he would soon be well again. The secretary, Mr J. Twist, ani nounced that a donation of £1 for a special points prize gained in all the- events had been given by Messrs Frank M. Winstone, Ltd. Other special prizes were received from the Northern Roller Mills and Messrs A. Yates and Co. A number of advertisements were received for the programme. Mr Hallyburton Johnstone asked why certain accounts from last year had not been paid. Mr Nicholson, as last years’ president, said that the association was almost in the same position as the A. and P. Association. The late secretary had not handed in the books, and the association did not know how it. stood. A committee formed co locate ;tho late secertary had. made inquiries, and the speaker had. travelled as far as Auckland in fiio Quest. The only news he could find was that the late secretary had gone to England, but it had also been reported that he was in Christchurch. The committee, however, could not locate their man. During the illness of the president Mr J. H. Nicholson was authorised to sign cheques. It was decided to endeavour to arrange refreshment and luncheon booths for the Sports, and a that end tenders are being called. Several members present offered to supply milk. The following Grounds' Committee was formed : Messrs J. H, Nicholson, R. L. Davies, B. Frecklipgton, J. M. Thompson, and P. Aro. It was reported that Messrs A. Fisner and W. Herkt had promised to arrange for chopping blocks from Mr Bagnall’s property. It was resolved to hold a dance after the sports, and in this connection Messrs Wilson, Avey, Twist, and. Aro were elected a committee. Messrs A. Palmer, H. H. Loueh, G. Mclntosh, W. E. Price, Amos and Arch. Fisher, H. Innis, H. K. Peterson, R Corns, W, Greenway, E,. Taylor, s. Fisher. E. Fisher, W. Herkt, W. McDuff, D. Troughton, D. Si. McMillan, S. .Bagnalli, S. Hine, and S. T.. Pelentan were added to the list of vice-presidents. Mr Arthur' Palmer was elected to the committee.
