OHINEMURI JOCKEY CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING AT PAEROA. (By Paeroa- Prad.) With the completion of the Te Aroha Jockey Club’s meeting sporting enthusiasts are now naturally focusing their thoughts on the Ohinemuri Jockey Club’s annual gathering, which will be held on the local racecourse on Friday and Saturday next, March 17 and 18, respectively. Those at the head off affairs are working at high pressure to have everything in readiness to ensure a highly successful meeting eventuating. For the chief event on the opening day—the Ohinemuri Cup—Raceful (9.0) has been awarded the honour of top weight, and it can be safely said that the Martian horse has fully earned the position. Tama.-a-roa and Gold Kip, both on the 7.10 mark, read well, as both are racing into form. The St. Patrick’s Handicap, the open sprint event, is run over six furlongs, and in awarding Golden Bubble 9.10 Mr R, Wynyard recognises that the speedy chestnut! is high’-class. Tama-.a-roa (8.10), Hipo (8.7), Queen Abbey (8.6), and Pavo (8.6) are a quartette entitled to respect. Tn the race for the juveniles Sir Otway (8.10) is at the head of the handicap, and is set! to concede 101 b to the Avondale Stakes winner, Lady Lois.

Among those engaged in the First Hurdles event Thrace (12.0), Shell-, shock (11.3), Keystone (10.11), and Snake (10.9) have all shown winning form, and handicapped accordingly.
