ATHLETIC SPORTS.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY. Entries for tlhe leading Waikato annual athletic sports fixture, tliati of the Hamilton St. Patrick’s Athletic Sports Club, will close on Monday, March 6. The meeting, as tlhe name indicates, will be held on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17* The gathering takes place in Steele Park, Hamilton, and the public will have an extraordinary variety of evenfs to interest and entertain them —amateur running events, cycling, wdod'-chopping, several comic turns, throwing the hammer, p, good range of Caledonian events in costume. The committee have spared no efforts to make St. Patrick’s a real gala day. A band will be in attendance, hoti water free, etc. > Entries close on Monday, March 6. The full programme may be seen in the “Gazette” advertising board,' or particulars from the secretary, Mr M. Randrup, Selkirk Street, Hamilton. Phone 1782.
