When the matter of the insanitary stat? of the Station Road drain was being discussed At the Council meeting last night a councillor remarked that the chief argument seemed to be blackberry, and it was evident that th,e residents were not familiar with the by-law which states that occupiers of land must clear the frontage to their .sections to the centre of the road.
Motorists and others using the roads on the Hauraki Plains will be pleased to learn htat the first of the sign-posts to be erected by the Lands Department on the cross-roads throughout the Plains were erected yesterday. This will be a great convenience to the travelling public.
