SEASON COMMENCES' TO-DAY.

Tlie Paeroa Chautauqua Season commences at 2.45 p.m, to-day. the afternoon session consisting of the introductory matter and selections by the Fine Arts Trio, as described in the last issue of the “Gazette"; also humorous lecturette by Norman Pearce.

Ta night the formal opening 'Will take place’, followed by entertainment by the Fine Arts Trio, and a lecture, “Problems of the Dominions.’’ Or. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday varied and brilliant programmes will be carried through, all of which were detailed in Monday’s “Gazette.”

The reports on Chautauqua this season from other towns are uniformity of the most favourable kind. And don’t make any mistake about it; .the Season Tickets are the cheapest f.orm of admission, entitling the holder to attend the whole eight sessions, and incidentally helping the guarantors who Have backed - the Chautauqua solely for . the 'good of the town,, since there is no - possibility, in case of either success, or failure, of any gua’-S antor getting 'any private gain -whair. ever out of the Chautauqua Season.
