When Dad called at the garage h? was pounecd upon’ by a salesman, who showed him the leading features of the various second-hands. From car to car they went, the agent maintaining a great flow of language, with Dad unable to get a word in edgeways. After about an hour the salesman began to exhibit signs 'of weariness.
i.’Now you've seen all the cars we’ve got,” he salid, “and you can talre it from me that .any one of them will give you a good return for your
money.” “Me buy a car!” snorted Dad in hprnifled tones. “I wouldn’t think of it. All I came in for was to ask why it is, that nearly every motor you see on the road ’as one of these ’ere Wei buoys ’anging on the back.”
