HIKUTAIA STOCK SALE.

. The following are the genoral prices which ruled at Wednesday’s Hikutaia stocky sale: Pigs,—Good porkers, 20s to 3,55; slips, 10s to 15s ; weaners, 6s to 9s. Sheep.—Fat lambs, 14s 5d to 17s 4d ; ewes, 10s; store ewes, ss. Cattle.—Fat steers, £6 8s and £6 10s; fat cows, £3 Is to £4 2s 6d: store cows, 17s 6d to 31s. Tt was noticeable that for a mixed sale there was an exceptionally good yarding of sheep. Beef sold ,at slightly better than the ruling rates, but the young cattle .were passed in, the bidding not reaching the vendors’ valuations.
