WEDDING AT PAEROA.
BERRY—VOWLES. - The marriage took place at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Paeroa, cn Wednesday last, of Miss Emily Mary Vowles, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs George Vowles, of Hikutaia, and Mr George Berry, third son of Mr: and Mrs E. T. -Berry, of Komata NorthThe officiating clergyman was the Rev. F. B. Dobsom The bride was given away by her fatjher, and wore a beautiful frock of creme crepe de chine, trimmed with georgette. She carried a bouquet of Tillies and sweet peas. The bridesmaids were Miss Eva Vowles and Miss Maggie Berry. Miss Vowles wore a dress of) creme crepe de chine and carried a bouquet of carnations. Miss Berry’s frock was of primrose crepe de chine, and her bouquet was primrose ■ and mauve sweet peas. . The bridegroom was attended by Mr Frank Berry as best man and Mr Ernest Vowles 1 as groomsman. \ After the ceremony the guests proceeded to .the Soldiers’ Hall, where over 60 sat down to a sumptuous repast The toast of “The Bride and Bridegroom” was ably proposed, bv the Rev. Dobson and responded to by the bridegroom’. The bridegroom proposed the toast of “The Bridesmaids,” to which Mr Ernest Vowles suitably repsonded. Mr S. J. Laughlin proposed the toast of “Th© Bride’s Parents” (Mr and Mrs Geo. Vowles), Mr Vowles responding. “Mr and Mrs E. T. Berry,” proposed by Mr W. Woods, and Mr Berry responded. Mr and Mrs George Berry left by the evening train en route for Aucklan’d. . The wedding gifts received by the young couple were many and valu«®fe.
