JERSEY BREEDERS’ CLUB

FRIDAY’S MEETING. A meeting of the Thames Valley brancjh of the N..Z. Jersey Breeders’Association was held in the Ohine,muri Counity Council Chambers, Paeroa oh Friday, Mr W. J. Hall, of Matatpke, presiding. . The following members were present : Messrs W. J. Hall (president), V. Dunlop (secretary), H. F. Billington, J. K. Dean, G. Buchanan, E. Edwards, B. Vealei, M. Crimmins ,R. Whitten, and J. Morrison. A letter of condolence with Mr E. J., Walters on the loss of his mother was passed. Mr Crimmins thought local members’ names should bei in the judges’ list. The. president explained that the matter was entirely in the hands of the parent body, though local members could be recommended to the Council. There were several local names left off the list, the reason of which he failed to understand. The president explained the format tion of various district clubs, delegates of which could meet at given centres. The next meeting was to be held at Hamilton, and he hoped the following pne at Paeroa. No further word had been received from Mr H. E. B. Watson in respect to being presence at the Show. It Was decided to appoint witih the approval of the Hauraki A. and P. Association, a young breeder to accompany Mr Watson at the Show during the judging. Mr W. Crimmins (junr.), was ap pointed. Messrs W. Dunn (Wai|hou), Frank Kneebone (Kopuarahi), W. Crimmins, junr. (Waikino), and Harry Hill (Netherton), /were appointed 1 new members. f The sum of £2O was fixed as the minimum subsidy for the Jersey prize money at the Show. Thia, carries a subsidy of £2O from the paren: body. The A- and P. ordinary prize mpney also remains, the abovementioned sums being in addition.
