’ll5 AROHA DEFEATS PAEROA.
MEETING THAMES SATURDAY. (By Matting.) The Paeroa cricket eleven, playing at Te Aroha on Saturday last, were out-played and suffered defeat by ten wickets. . The only outstanding feature where the Paeroa team -is concerned was the bowling of Bowden, who, bowling right through the first, innings, secured 8 wickets for 16 runs, The Paeroa batting was poor, caused by lack of practice and playing on .a turf wicket after being accustomed to matting.. On Saturday next the locail eleven meets a Thames team at Paeroa, when it is hoped that Paeroa will show better form. . The team for Saturday will appear in our Friday’s issue.
